By the way, autonomy means "self-reliance" & "self-sufficiency". Basically, how one self governs himself/herself.

I feel project based learning is a great thing to have in a school. You learn how to work with others and speak in front of people. some of the learning has to be self directed or it doesn't get done. You also have to learn to work with the uncooperative an even people who may not be as smart as others. Eagle studio gives you real life skills to help you when you leave high-school. we also had to learn how to use ipads and mac which probably operate differently than the pc's most of us are used to. we had to use problem solving skills to figure how to put info into posters brochures and webpages. we also had to learn to be self sufficient even if our partners were'nt.

I agree with Samantha. I have learned to work better better with people, I used to want to do it my way or it was the highway. I have learned to rely on myself an nit other people. If someone was supposed to bring an item for a project in a didn't I would not have had a back up, but now I do. I have learned to take things as they come. It doesnt matter if you don't like it, it has to be done. Also when I usually would make a mistake I wouldn't care but now I freak and it has to be fixed.

Our communication skill have grew a lot this year. Teaching us that we have to speak in front of others. We now have better cooperation skills as well. We have learned that we don't always get to work with people we like. Our computer skill has also grew over this past year. We have learned how to do more on the computer.

I think that I have grown a lot in Eagle Studio this year. I have gotten a lot better with my communication skills, like before I was a lot more scared to talk in front of a crowd or group of people but now I'm not so scared. I use to get mad if people didn't work in my group, like if they were in my group and they just didn't work, but now I know how to deal with it better. I use to not be able to work on my own, I needed a teacher to help me to understand how to do certain things with my work but now I understand it all better. I'm very good now with my problem solving skills too. Autonomy is a lot better for me now because I don't rely on others to do their part of the work now. I usually end up doing all of it just incase they don't do theirs so that I don't get a bad grade. I am also a lot better now with technology. I had never had the opportunity to work with technology like this before I got in the Eagle Studio. I really liked it this year.

I agree with Kelsey. I've gotten a lot better with communication, I think when I go back to regular classes next year I'll be a lot better with people. Over here, when someone didn't do their part of a project, they got punished not the entire group. I think that's the right way to do it. Eagle Studio has given me a chance to learn more about technology, and use it more than usual. It has been more fun too.

I think everyone has grown a lot in eagle studio this year. Because we got to work on our communication skills like you said. I agree people that don't work are really annoying. Doing it all is something some people who give a crap about their grades have to do. Sometimes you have to rely on others to do the work though, you cant always do it all. Eagle Studio is just an all around good program that has helped us integrate technology into our learning.

Project based learning teaches us many different skills. From how to use the technology to complete projects, to how to communicate better with groups of people. I think i have grown most in my ability to work with people and communicate. We had to be in groups a lot this year and had to be able to communicate with each other to get the projects done. I have gotten better at talking to people and being able to share ideas and work together to get things done.

In eagles studio I have learned so much about PBL. Communication skills : I used to like doing projects by myself but now I like working in a group because everyone is so helpful. Cooperative work skills: I have learned that you have to work with everyone in your group. If someone doesn't agree you have to change it to make sure everyone is happy with it. And everyone has to talk about it you need opinions. Self directed learning : I have learned that I am not the most perfect worker by myself. But sometimes it is good for me to work alone rather than in groups. Problem solving skills: I learned that if you are working on a project and someone doesn't bring something in you always need to have a back up. You have to take things as they come, some things you can't just help, you have to be ready for anything. Autonomy: I have learned that i have to put forth as much effort as everyone else in my group. I have to plan and rely on myself for my own part. Im the one that is getting graded for what I do not everyone else. Tech proficiency: I have learned that this world is based of technology. In the Mac lab I learned how to do scratch and iMovie scratch was the hardest one to do though. In eagles studio through PBL I have learned how to work better with others.

I agree with jessica angel. We have learned to work with everyone in a group and to compromise with others. I have also learned to respect others opinions even if i don't agree with them. I have learned new learning skills and problems solving skills. Just like Jessica I have learned I have to contribute to my group. It is unfair to the others and it affects not only my grade but the others too. We can use the skills we have learned this year in life and as we get older. This year has been my favorite.

I feel the communication skills were most important. This is because I was not a very good speaker in the begining, but now I feel I am a much better presenter. I also feel the cooperative work skills helped alot. This will help me with future things because I will not always be able to work with the people I want. So this will help me be more open minded to others. The self direct learning helped alot too. Because i now know how to do research on thing I dont know For reliable resources. The promblem solving helps too. I will be able to solv problems on a minutes notice. This is a good career skill for when things dont go they they should. Autonomy and tech proficiency are also a great trait I have devoloped too. I will be able to keep myself on topic better now.

I agree with Josh. It is a great thing to have in schools. I feel they should have it in all schools as an option for kids to choose. The life skills will really come in handy in future jobs and careers. It also helped us to cooperate with others, even when they dont cooperate back. Because we dont always get to work with who we want.

The eagle studio this year has probably helped me the most in presenting and talking in front of people. Communication skills helped me be a little more out going and not be as shy in front of a larger grop of people. This year by working every week in groups to get projects done has helped my cooperative skills. Because last year i didnt really work much with others. This year i have also had to push my self to get the job done good and correct, this helped my self directed learning skills. We have also been mentally challenged this year.We have been given tasks and projects to help us learn in a new way, so compared to last year my problem solving skills have went up.Autonomy has played a big role in my life this year.Because somtimes we have to rely on ourselves to to get things done on time, cause sometimes we dont have a partner to rely on. Mostly the thing that has played a huge role this year is technology. We have got to use ipads, mac computers, and the big mondo pads. This has taught me to learn in a new modernized way.

I agree with cody. We have both learned the same things in eagle studio this year. Ive never used so much technology in my life until this year. Ipads was a good experience and all the projects we have done. Its all been new to me this year but i finally got used to it halfway through the year. Ive had to push myself harder than i ever had too before because the project based system has hurt me alot this year. Presenting in front of lots of people has also been new to me. Eagle Studio has been very fun this year but i do not want to do it again.

I agree with cody in this blog 100%. Being in Eagle Studio helped me a lot on presenting and being in front of people. Working groups helped me be more involved with people, and got my communication skills up. Cody's right when he said we've been held to a higher standard and expected to work harder. We have to rely on ourselves to get things done on time and right. And the ipads and stuff were a great way to get modernized in technology.

The eagle studio this year was very difficult. Going from textbooks to an ipad was hard to get use to. I think it helped me present things better. But i didn't learn as much as i needed too. By working in groups has helped me communicate better. And it made me more outgoing. I wouldn't be in eagle studio again though cause i didn't really like it. I didn't like having classes with the same people over and over again. I think that if they switched the groups of people up there would be less drama. But i loved the teachers and i did make more friends but i think i learn more with textbooks than i did with a ipad.

The eagle studio this year has helped me the most in Presenting and Talking in front of a crowd. The skills that i am much better at now is communication skills because we have had to talk and present alot this year. The eagle studio is project based so if you do bad then it will hurt your grade big-time. In regular classes we wouldnt have done as many projects. We have used games to make projects which have been a really good experience. i actually enjoyed it unlike other projects we have had to do. Technology has played a big role in the eagle studio this year because we have been presented with all kinds of new stuff this year. its all been a very good learning experience. Ive learned so many new things this year but working together is what i have leanred the most.

i feel project based learning helped my realize how to work better in groups. project based learning helped me get more stuff done in a shorter amount of time and much easier.all of the technology made doing class work much simpler. the mac lab was kind of crippling because of how the mac is set up and how i don't always use macs. responsibility was a big thing in eagle studio and made keeping up with projects much more important. All together i'd say that eagle studio was a much simpler way to do work.

I think that I learned more in Geometry then I did in any of the other classes. I liked the opportunity to be in eagle studio this year. With PBL my communication skills have grown a lot. I have became more comfortable with talking in front of people. My cooperative skills have grown as well I am better at working with people and splitting up the work equally. My self directed working has had to chance dramatically. With all the projects that are due, you have a dead line that you have to meet. My problem solving has grew because when there was someone in a group that didn't want to work we got to talk it out and figure out what needed to be done. My technology skills grew as well. Learning how to do all this stuff on a computer has helped with my typing skills and understand meant. I have became more self sufficient where I get what needs to be done, done.

I agree with Kali completely. I also have to that I have grown a lot in my communication skills. I as well believe that I am a better speaker and am better at presenting. I think that my problem solving has grown as well, because some of the projects were problems that we had to find the best solution and solve the problem. As well as some problems happen while you are working on your project, and you have to handle the situations as they come at you. I believe that is what I have learned most of all how to handle situations as they come at you. Working with you Kali i believe you have as well.

I have learned to be independent. This year helped me be able to present projects and talking in front of the class. I have also made new friends. I loved being in groups, in regular classes last year we never did group projects often. I started of slow this year. Goofing off not doing anything, now towards the end I learned to get it done and follow the deadlines. Mr. Williams pushed me to better, and actually try. I feel more confident I can these things such as presenting, researching, using the technology.I have also learned to be more autonomy which I love being independent and self reliant. Because, in real life a teacher is not always going to be there to push you to do this. This year has been my favorite and I hope I get eagle studio next year.

From beginning to end of the year, there was a big change in your work ethic and class participation. You came along great and really showed your knowledge near the end. Also I feel that a lot of people independence increased because of deadlines and having to have something in. Also I may be the only one who doesn't like projects I'd rather work, but I learned to like it. This year has my favorite so far also, but I'm really looking forward to my senior year. Overall the most improvement amongst the Studio was public speaking. Again good job this year.

I think the thing i have learned the most is , understanding there is dead lines i have to meet and there is thing i will have to do on my own. In regular school, its mostly book work, But in Eagle Studio there is projects and they trust you to do it. When you get out of high school and go to college , thats what they expect. So, in Eagle studio they are gettin you ready for life after high school. It makes you more responsible. Also, i use to get so scared to talk infront of crowds, or present what i have done, Now it doesnt bother me. Its just something usual. Or how i use to want to work by myself and not in a group. Here, thats all you do. You work with one another and get better at communicating with other people like you would have to do at a job.But even though it is all tech based, im still not great at it.

At the beginning of the year i thought that project based learning would be super easy, but as it came i realized that you cant just fly by. I learned that i had to care more about my work and have it in on time. Being in eagles studio made me learn that i had to be more independent because you cant always rely on the people around you. One of my favorite things about being in eagles studio was that you could always depend on a teacher to be there and help you, when you needed someone. It was a lot of fun to learn in project based learning, because you realize how many different ways you can actually learn one subject. I have also learned to be more self reliant. Eagle studio is definitely a great way to learn more things and always have fun while doing that. I have learned many different things this year, and i will definitely miss it!

Eagle Studio has changed my life for the better. I can work with technology so much better. i get along with people better. It is so much fun to wok on the Ipads instead of textbooks. And you really grow as a family with all the fellow classmates because, your with the same people 4 hours a day, you grow to know them, and come close together. Iv never been a shy person, so my communication skills worked really well with eagle studio. Working in groups really helped my cooperative skills. Eagle studio has pushed me to get my work done, and do what I need to do on time, for my self directed learning skills. We have been giving so many projects this year, and we have to work together as a team to get it done on time, so that has helped me in problem solving ways. Autonomy has played a major role in my life, outside and inside eagle studio. Sometimes we have to rely on ourselves instead of a partner. And most of the projects, we all had roles. And our partners relyed on us. A big role in technolgy is the Ipads, and the mac lab. it has hanged our life.

With my cooperative work skills I don't just sit around in groups i actually do stuff. With my problem solving skills i have gotten better at not procrastinating when i do my work. Instead of waiting and doing it at home i go ahead and get it done in class. My autonomy has gotten better. I feel like i'm more reliable in groups when it comes to working. Project Base Learning has helped me in many ways. The most important way it has helped me is through responsibility, I have learned that when giving a date to have an assignment due you have to manage your time and days wisely. If you don't that you wont be able to finish that task or due it as well as you could of, which gives you a bad grade. Another task i have learned this year that has really helped me is working with others, and sharing off the responsibility. Most of the time it is hard for me to share the responsibility and trust that my partners with get their side of project done. One thing that has eagle studio hasn't really helped me with is tech proficiency. I have learned some things more about technology that I didn't know but not as much as i was expecting. Or wanted to know. Some of the projects have helped me learn is the video tapes/shows. To me they were fun and easy and easy to learn from and i would talk about what i knew in the video and it would help me remember. But over all i believe eagle studio was a pretty good way to learn.

But I learned more in history about having to have thing more on time and working by our selfs then i did in math. I agree with Sky Martin, eagle studio has helped a lot with technology. While using the apple products we have discovered other types of technology that maybe some people don't use. They are creative and can teach you so much. There was so many different apps and programs that provided different ways to learn while having fun. PBL has also given the skill of communication and allowed me to be friends with other new people. It has also helped with responsibility of having to remember and be prepared for things you need to keep up with while working in groups.

I think Eagle Studio was a very fun way to learn. I loved being in studio because you i had more independence and it was cool to have all my classes in one hall. One thing i didn't like was having science over here because i am use to being in a lab. So not being hands on all the time was hard because i learn best that way. I do believe my technology skills have improved a lot. I was computer stupid before this year. I loved the ipads because it was information at your finger tips and you had to learn a lot by yourself. The only thing i didn't like was that i am not very self reliable at all. I forget things very easily so multiple assignments at once was difficult. I learned to better use technology to find easier way to do work with PBL. Having to work in groups to do work made me realize its important to pull your own weight. If i didn't rely on my friends and pull my own weight then i would have passed any of my classes. communication is important as well because if you cant communicate then you won't know what you need to do exactly in the class. All together i'd say eagle studio was more difficult than all my other classes I've had. It was hard but at times more fun than I expected.

I have grown in the Eagle Studio more in the autonomy part more than any other. Yes I have grown in the cooperative working, but it's not a big part of what we did. Communication skills went up a lot because I made a lot of friends this year and we worked decently together. I solved problems this year better than what I did last year. The technology part, I haven't learned hardly anything. The things they taught us, I already new... So thats why I had to learn to lean on myself and depend on what I do to be graded.

I agree with Buddy because he didn't learn anything with the tech-skills because he already knew what to do. That is kind of like me because I already knew what to do. I also agree with his saying he depends on himself to get the grade he wants. I said that in my blog too. I have also grown in my cooperative skills.

I agree with Vernon. I'm one of this friends he has made ! And our communication skills have went up big time. I also developed in the autonomy. And the technology part, was the same for me. I already learned how to do it, because of the generation we live in. And depending on ourselves was something big I learned.

The Eagle Studio has really helped me in my public speaking. Although this year has been pretty tough. I've always been good with working with people. I actually enjoyed it when I came in Eagle Studio. But now I have grown to not like that anymore. I haven't seen my problem solving skills improve much. I have really started to get more involved with technology more. Thats probably what I have mostly improved on. (Being Creative)

To start with Communication Skills. I have done better with Project Base Learning. PBL is the main thing that has helped me do somewhat better with Communication Skills. I have done a lot better with Cooperative Working Skills. I have learned who I am able to work with this year and who I am not. Self Directed Learning I have had some trouble with it this year. I have done slightly better on Problem Solving Skills. I have had trouble with it some but I have done a little better with it. The main reason why is because of the PBL. Autonomy is something I feel that I still need to improve on. Tech Proficiency is something I have improved a lot. Why because of all the Technology used in creating the projects. I really myself think Project Based Learning is a good thing to have in school.

I agree with blake. We have had a better year because we have had the chance to get are communtication skills. We have been able to talk thought things and get better with talking. And we have had chances that none of the other kids had. We were the kids that first had the ipads and were the first that got to test this out. so i think that it has been a good year. lets hope that next year we will have a better time.

In eagle studio this year i have learned a lot of things through doing projects. I used to like being an independent learner and doing everything on my own, but by working with others in PBL i have learned a lot more. PBL teaches you to have responsibility and independence, which can be used in very helpful ways when going off to college. I made a lot of new friends this year, people that i thought i would never talk too, and have become very close with them. Communication skills have gotten a lot better due to having to be responsible while working in groups with others. I feel like eagle studio had some bag things along the way and was hard at times but for the most part taught me a lot especially with projects and communication.

Same here. I used to like being on my own, having my own ideas, & doing my own things. But working with people gave me more ideas & made things better. Everyone's ideas combined makes it better. In a group with other people you are responsible for your part, & everyone counts on you to do your part. Those skills can help when you get a job where you have to help people, and work together to get the job done.

Being in eagle studio had some good & bad things about it. Communication was better because we had to work in groups ALL the time & had to share ideas to get our project done. We had to respect others ideas even if we didn't agree to them. Working in groups made it easier to get the job done. But working on the iPads was sort of difficult. Some people learn better through technology, but I learn better with a textbook. I feel like I can help myself understand that way. I don't feel like my problem solving skills have improved or anything, they're the same. This year I also learned that I'm never goofing off as much again, because it hits you hard at the end of the year when you're failing a class & can't do nothing about it.

I agree with Alesia. I think that communication was better. I learned how to communicate with others better. We worked in groups with other people weather we knew them or not all the time. That helped us make new friends too. We respected others. I agree that working on the IPads was difficult. I agree that its easier to work in a textbook. I love technology at home but I don't think its easy to use at school. I get distracted too easily. I learned to not goof off too. Cause at the end of the year i was cramming work in trying to get my grades up and thats a lot more stressful. If I would have just paid attention at the beginning of the year i wouldn't have to cram all the work in. But I think it was a good experience.

I think PBL has helped me a lot this year. Definitely with working in groups since we worked with projects that had several people in a group. It could help you in the future at your job because you have to learn how to work with people. The blogs also helped me interact with people, like disagreeing and agreeing with their blogs. I also had to learn that I had to get used to not working in groups as well by having to do work yourself. You won't be working in groups the rest of your life. A lot of these skills that we learned in Eagle Studio can definitely help us in the future. Well, i think so at least.

I have been able to work in groups so much better because i have learned to be patient with others. I have also always been able to search stuff on the internet and learn from it. I definitely have improved on my technical skills and been able to use new technology. I can have my friends help me also and i can help them now. I have definitely learned not to be so shy and actually work in groups I usually like to work alone but I like group work now!

I agree with austin andrew on his post. Because like him, at the beginning of the year i wasn't a very good speaker in front of people. But as i progressed I kind of got better and came out of my shell a bit. And the cooperative sills will help everyone in life. You have to get jobs and learn to work with other people and get along so you can keep your job. So like austin, the eagle studio has helped me out alot with my social skills and presenting skills and this will certainly help me in life.

I don't believe that eagle studio really helped me with any of those things. I enjoy eagle studio, and believe that its a great program to have in schools. My communication skills are good, and they were when i was put in eagle studio. All the projects were due on certain days, and Mrs. Marcum was pretty strict on her turn in dates. So i guess that helped me be more responsible and get my stuff turned in on time. I was ok with technology before coming to eagle studio, but i believe that it made me a little better at it. And being around all this technology helped me become better at it.

i have grown through PBL in eagle studio. I have grown most in self-directed learning. Because we have a lot more freedom to do are work on are own. And not always being reminded. At first it was hard but now it is much easer for me. I have grown in communication skills, problem solving skills, autonomy and tech proficiency too.

I am going to be completely honest and not hold anything back or brag. My communication skills were perfectly fine before Eagle's Studio. I've spoke in front of large crowds and amongst small ones as well. To my group members it was still the same as taking charge and doing the work. My cooperative skills can also be increased, but why should I rely on someone else to get something else done instead of me doing it and getting it done when they may not even get it done. The only place I can work cooperative is on the field. For self directed learning i didn't learn anything I just you hand me something to do I'll get it done and turned in. For problem solving skills I felt like nothing changed except in core classes where I had to learn new stuff, just not different methods to figure it out. My self-reliance is the best at key. I am very responsible and Eagle's Studio hasn't changed that or bothered it at all. I'm always ready and just raised like that. My tech skills were advanced past the Eagle's Studio level, again not trying to brag. The tech in here was very simple, but yet again understandable because some people don't even know what R.A.M. stands for or how to pull up Microsoft word on here. All and all a regular classroom environment is so much better, well taught, and constructed.

I don't feel like my communication skills have gotten any better through PBL. I have noticed that I'm getting better at working in groups because of project based learning, and the technology has made research easier. Though, I still prefer to work by myself. I have realized over the course of this school year that I'm getting better at self-directed learning, because I have been looking stuff up to learn more about a topic. I feel like my problem solving skills were already pretty good, but when doing certain projects, such as in science, I have seen them to fail. So I do need to work on them more. I have never really been good with autonomy, and not even being in Eagle Studio has helped with that. I continue to procrastinate. I think that I was already really good with technology because I love computers and electronics. So I don't think that that PBL has helped me out in that area.

My skills have not grown in any way from eagle studio everything that i had already been taught i learned again this year in eagle studio. The project based learning didn't help me much because i already done projects for the main building. I thought that the project based learning was harder to me than regular class over in the main building. If the teachers would show us how to do some of the stuff we are supposed to be doing then it would help me allot more than just trying to do it on my own because i don't comprehend very well. I think that the tech skills i had already learned during school in the main building. I do not think my tech skills have improved in any way possible.

Being in eagle studio I think it has helped me with my communication skills a lot. I have worked with a variety of different people and met people I have never met before. I learned that you can talk to different people that you don't usually talk to. Cooperative learning skills is what I have also gained. I learned to cooperate with other people, not only in eagle studio but in the rest of my classes that aren't eagle studio. My problem solving skills is what I have probably improved to most on. Eagle studio not only helped me but gave me the learning skills to help solve problems. Self directed learning has helped me a lot as well, but it was also hard. It was kind of hard learning by myself but once I got the hang of it then I was good to go. I honestly like learning by myself better than with a group anyways because I get the grade based on what I do, not other people. Autonomy, has happened too. If that makes sense. I have self-governed myself. The last one is tech-proficiency. I have always been good at working with technology so I don't think I could have improved anymore honestly. The only thing I had trouble with understanding is the iMac. Other than that I have improved on all these categories.

PBL is a great way to make new friends and or come closer to them. My communication skills got so much better. I also think that all the progects we did as groups really helped me and in some ways it didn't. But over all eagle studio was a really fun experience!!!!!

In eagle studio the one thing that is important is communication skills.I improved in communication skills because eagle studio you have to do a lot of projects like the Beowulf gaming project in Ms. Marcums class which you had to communicate with your group and learn what their opinions where about the project. I also grew in cooperative skills which is a big thing because you have to have it to work in projects with people. I grew in a lot of ways in eagle studio.

I have grown through PBL, by having my work in the class more based on what the subject is. In my other classes, sometimes the topic is less focused but in Eagle Studio , my studies are more based. My communication skills have improved a little better than before. Before I never really communicated with anyone, but now I have. My cooperative working skills have improved, I learned to work with others better, than working by myself. I also learned to work with my friends better, than always be distracted with them. Self-directed learning has helped me by learning I will make mistakes, but the mistakes can help you learn better and not mess up again. In science I learned to make my problem solving skills better by doing equations. For autonomy I did my part in projects without relying on others. I learned more about technology by working on the Ipads.

"Project Based Learning" has not made me grow in any way. My communication skills were already fine before ES. We really didn't do anything to make them better anyways. My cooperative work skills increased just because before I was in ES I didn't really work in Groups a lot. I liked doing them myself better because I do not like having my grade depend on someone else. My self directed skills have increased. I learned that if you get lazy and don't do blogs, your grade drops. My problem solving skills increased because I figured out how ES works and that you can't just do nothing all the time and expect to pass. I already knew how to rely on myself because I always did my projects and work by myself before ES and PBL. My favorite part about ES was the iMac computers. I liked making iMovies. iPads were very easy for me because I have an iPhone. These are just my Honest opinions.

And it has helped me to be ok just to go and start talking with someone that i haven't really talked to before. And Like i said before it really has helped me cooperating with other people that i don't talk too and that i really never hung out with before. I feel like I have learned quite a bit from PBL. I have had to work with difficult people this year but had to keep on working to get a good grade. There is also a lot of communication involved in PBL so that teaches some communication skills. Having iPads has made things a lot different this year. We do a lot of research on google instead of using text books. Working past difficult group members was a challenge. We had to do a little bit of self-teaching through the internet at some points. I also had to do a little bit of carrying my lazy group members through projects, and had to rely on myself. Overall, it was a good year though.

I have grown, knowing that I have to come to school everyday to pass. Knowing how to working in groups with different people instead of your friends. Teaches you to overcome your fear of standing in front of a class and giving a speech. How to work in groups and actually communicate with other outside of your friends. That you can raise your hand and get help either from a teacher or a peer. PBL is a good learning experience, because you learn how to use technology and its a fun experience learning how to d all that in one school year.

Besides all of that I have grown into Eagle Studio a little bit, because the IPads to me where a great way by learning and doing work. Because textbooks are heavy to be packing around all day and you can look thing up and learn more about what ever it is you might look up. The Project Base Learning program has not really stood up to what people expected. My communication skills are just the same as they was last year, mostly because we didn't really practice that much with it. I mean we did work a lot on cooperative skills, but i mostly already knew how to do that from pervious years. most of the self-direct learning came from us researching on our ipads , which never really taught me anything , because i already use computers for research. I mean really we only had one thing about problem solving skills , was when trooper Blanton came in to talk. We were almost always in a group, so we never practiced autonomy or self-reliance. Only thing we really learned in my opinion was tech proficiency, because ipads were always our daily use and so where the macs, so of course we were going to learn something from that.

The Project Base Learning program has done nothing for improving my communication skills, they are basically the same as they have been. Although we did learn how to cooperate with people better throughout the numerous group projects we had. But i did not feel any better with my communication skills. If there's a lot of people in the group its easy to let them talk about most of the project. When trooper Blanton came and talked about us, that was the only communication improvement technique we had. Self-Directed learning we didn't really practice. But i did e joy the projects and interactive work that eagle studio provided. That is all.

I think its a good thing to have in school, Because you learn how to communicate with other because you have to get their opinion on certain things. I remember when i was scared to stand up and talk to people or go to the board, But PBL help me get over that fear. You communicate with people cause you work in groups and you have to talk and give your ideas you cant be scared. Plus You can work on your cooperative skills like raising your hand and asking for help, you don't have to be scared to raise your hand. I have learned that not coming to school or doing my work is making me fail, and i have to do something bout it. But this experience was a great learning experience. And i liked the teachers besides the ones that don't like me.

Well, in my opinion, project based learning has helped me grow in communication skills because, we got put into a small space with alot of people where we got to know eachother. Also, throughout the year the teachers would put us in different groups to where we could learn to work and know one another. we could also make new friends and meet new people. That following cooperative skills. with the coopertive iln to workwith new people and get used to changes in working environments. With the self directed learning, when we got the ipads, we had the choice of taking notes (which i did) and when we took notes we could look over them to learn better over the subject we were doing a project on. when it comes to problem solving skills, when we had to do projects, we made outlines to do the project with more ease. An example would be when Mrs. Bevins made us knows and need to knows. this made it easier to work and find what needed to be done. being in Eagle studio made me start studying and really trying. though i will admit sometimes i didnt give me 110%, i still tried and even when i went home i would study. thats my "Autonomy" or whatever. when we gt the Ipads we learned better on techonology twe did our projects on.

What Marriah is saying is true. I personally feel we all in Eagle Studio have grown in this way. Some people have grown more than others, but we all have grown none the less. Getting the iPads was a privilege and a responsibility that helped us get better at getting things done and becoming responsible young adults. I know some people had cracked their screens or broken their Otter Boxes, but it still helped them grown and be more responsible. And javing choices on whether we take notes or not really gave us a look at our future-many of us will be going to college, and in college it is your choice whether you try or not, they will not baby you like in elementary school, they will treat us like you treated us, and believed in us this year.

I agree with Marriah completely getting the iPads was a privilege to test our self directed learning because we could have easily put off taking notes and played games but we didn't. I think that making the outlines and things like that for projects was definitely helpful in many ways. I agree with what Marriah was saying 100%

I agree with Marriah. Though I didn't really like being paired up with people I didn't know, it did force me to improve my communication skills. The iPads were not only really fun to have, but they did help me learn better. Since it's the 21st century, we should have more technology.

I think that I learned a lot of different things in Eagle Studio this year. I used to never be able to present projects in front of the class, but I've gotten better at that this year. I have started to work better in a group with others. I've also started being able to focus better, not a lot but a little better. I've been able to stay on task a lot better and get my work done. I've learned more about technology and I've got better at creating projects.

I agree with you, Kelsey. I used to be shy and not have the ability to present my projects in front of the class. I think that we get used to being around te same people everyday and we don't care if we present in front of them. I focus better too, which allows me to get my work done. Technology has helped me because I've learned how to do certain things, and get everything done, that needs to be done.

I have become a more sociable person and I am more confident when speaking to a large crowd. working in a group helped me learn to cooperate with my fellow students. working with tech helped me become more proficient with it. the problems the teachers give us apply to real life.

Roy and my statements are very similar about our opinions on the PBL. I believe most people would and/or should agree, because it is fact. Our communication skills have not improved much, and both of our cooperation skills have improved a little. So Roy i agree with what all you have to say about the PBL.

project bass learning is cool . it lets you interact with other people and learn how people think. where ever is different every one thinks a different way so it give some a person the opportunity to think like the people there working with. project base learning is fun but its hard to keep up with the other classes and there projects. if they where spread out then and at different times than it would bee easier to keep up with. and some times it is easier to just do book work. but this means we need books to do that on. having the ipads was great but i know that it took a lot of my time and my mind off of school. this has been the funnest year iv e had but the ipads work better for my when we checked them back in every day then taking them home.

I really feel like I've grown a lot through PBL in Eagle Studio this year. In communication, I've gotten a little bit better about talking to people I don't normally talk to, and getting out of my comfort zone because I'm normally quiet and shy unless I'm with my friends. In cooperative-working, I feel like I've gotten better at working with people whom I don't talk to enough to consider my "friend" and I've grown to be more compromisable when it comes to clashing ideas with my partners. In self-directed learning, I've gotten better at kind of teaching myself things, and not fully relying on a teacher to do it for me. In problem solving, I've gotten better at solving issues between partners on group projects, and problems when it comes to functionality of a project and how we can get it go work the way we want it to. In autonomy, I feel that I'm better at being more independent when it comes to getting things done correctly and the way it needs to be done when it comes to working on my own an not having the workload spread out between partners and having full responsibility of the project. In test proficiency, I've gotten better at getting to my point in written assignments, and working faster yet just a efficient if not more efficient than I did before.

I agree with most of what you said, with the exception of Self-directed learning. I personally prefer a teacher to stand up in front of a class and tell me what I need to know. When I look stuff up myself there could be important information that I am missing. When I did ask questions, I really didn't get the answer I was looking for, instead I got a vague response and I had to continue looking up my answer. I really would prefer teachers to let me know exactly what they want for the class. That way I am confident in what I learned.

This year in eagle studio, project base learning has been a goood experience. It has helped me progress in my communication skills i am now confident in speaking to a group because we have had to explain our projects and teach what we retained over all the units.

Continued. This year i have had to learn how to work with others. And that has prepared me for the future because i will have to work with people i bearly know in the work field. And if there was a problem we had to be the ones ti have a solution. An we learned through the internet we had to use our ipads to look up the information for a project. We had to learn how to us ipads and look for our resources and use imacs and thats something new to all of us.

I agree with Jill. One thing I did appreciate about E.S that I isn't mention in my comment is that I like how we learned to work well and coorpative with others. This is a good skill that I would need for the future in order to work with future fellow workers.

I think PBL has helped me a lot this year. I have got a lot better at public speaking. I have also got better at how to cooperate with people. They have got better because of all the group projects we do. My public speaking has got better from when we have to present projects in front of the class. But other than those two i don't think i have grown at all.

I agree with Sky and Nancy. Technology in eagles studio has definitely put an impact on the way that we learn. This year we have used technology in many different ways to be able to make videos with the things we were learning at the time. There are many different apps that help us with the things we are learning in class that week. Eagle studio has helped me improve on different things in many different ways. It has helped me with my communication skills by making me work with different people, who may not work the same way that i do. It helped me improve on my technology skills and learned me how to create different projects like videos slides show and broshures.

Project Based Learning has helped me a lot this year in so many ways. This year has by far been the best year. I've became a lot better at communicating with other people and presenting to a whole class. Being cooperative with people in groups and having to rely on myself and always having to have back up just incase that person forgot. Even if somebody didn't do their part it still wouldn't affect my grade, personally. Having to learn with technology has helped so much better and made a lot of projects much easier. I'm very glad I got picked to be in the Eagle Studio.

Ive learned different things thanks to eagle studio. Ive leaned how to work with computers better. I've learned what needs to go in a project and how to make it look great with technology. But there were a lot of disadvantages for me with eagle studio. I didn't get any writing skills this year. I didn't get any reading skills. And I feel like I don't learn everything I needed to get me ready for next year.

I feel like I have improved the most on my ability to work with others, my cooperative skills. Before Eagle studio I had always hated working in groups, I felt like I had to take the entire task on by myself while I watched everyone else sit back and have fun. This year I have learned to speak up whenever I see someone in my group not doing what they are supposed to be doing, if I wanted a good grade. I have also learned how to let other people have some responsibility, instead of having it all to myself. It was a little difficult for me to sit back and rely on others, which I really don't have an issue with it now. I have to have good communication skills in order to be organized, and even if I had to work with some people that I didn't necessarily like, I had to get along with them. Which I can apply that lesson to in real life. For self directed learning, I really hated not having specific instructions on what I needed to know, I am defiantly one of those people you have to tell specifically what you want. I had a lot of difficulty trying to learn this way.

I feel like PBL is good to have in schools because it teaches us to use all of the skills that we have. Being in Eagle studio has helped me over come my fear of talking to people that I don't really know. It taught me how to give a presentation and work with other people that I don't usually talk to every day. I also think that Eagle studio has helped me with problem solving because in most of the groups that I was in we ran into problems and had to work them out with every one in my group. I also improved my technology skills it taught me how to design games and that you can make any presentation you want and it still be "School appropriate". I definitely improved on self directed learning, before Eagle studio I had to have specific instructions on how to do something and now I can figure it out on my own with out specific instructions. I think that PBL should be in all schools and every grade. I learned that I will need these skills to be successful in the real world. Like public speaking and designing websites or making a brochure.

This year I have learned a lot, about technology, working with others and a lot more. I think working in groups you are able to learn better and it pushes you to do things yourself and become more independent. My communication skills have improved also, I don't care to ask questions to people I don't know. My cooperative work skills this year has also improved because working with people you don't know improves this, it's easier to work with people you don't usually talk to because you don't get distracted as easily. Problem solving skills have became better because all year we have had to work thinngs out on our own without someone telling us what to do. When I'm in a group I rely in myself to get things done and to make sure it's right. I would eater know I completed the project then to have to think someone else has.

I think that PBL is an okay way to learn. It helped me to communicate with different people and experience what its like to learn with technology. I personally, would rather learn with pencil and paper. I think that learning with pencil and paper makes me remember it more easily. I think everybody, including me have learned a lot this year with the use of technology. I've learned to make games, make videos and a lot of other stuff. Learning with technology makes everything more fun, but at the same time, your learning. I've learned that when working with people that you don't really interact with, makes getting the project done more difficult, because you don't really talk to the people you have to work with. Self directive learning is kinda hard for me to do, people are so used to the teacher teaching them, they don't like teaching there self what they need to learn. Teaching yourself something comes with a lot of responsibility. Problem solving skills are working through a situation and finding your own solution. My skills have got a lot better, i can get done what needs to be done by myself. My autonomy skills are high, i have a lot of self-reliance. When i'm in groups, i know that i can get my job done.

I agree with Kelsey Rogers, this year has made me grow as a person when it comes to presenting in front of class. Also I have been able to stay on task and doing what needs to be done. Setting deadlines and keeping up with those has also Improved, I know what I have to do and I can now make sure it can happen.
