the role of the chorus in Greek society is to comment on themes. Twitter is kind of the chorus of modern day society. I think this because we can use twitter to comment on the themes of our day or our lives. Although, I don't think you should whine about how bitterly unfair your life is on the Internet, it's annoying.

The role of a Greek chorus was to provide background information and motivation. Twitter can be like a Greek chorus because what people post on Twitter doesn't always apply to the role of a Greek chorus, some people post irrelevant things to what is going on, other people update Twitter statuses like making toast. I disagree with everyone because no one shares my opinion.

The role of a chorus in Greek society, is to set the mood of the play, and to lay out the story line. They play a narrarator like role. Or at least that's what Mrs. Marcum said in class the other day, I remember it. I do not believe it's close to the modern day Twitter. I may not own one, nor have I even SEEN the website, but I assume it's like the old myspace and facebook. They allow one to post things about their day, post pictures, and keep in touch with friends.. So it does make it SORT OF close, I suppose. But, yeah. I mid-way agree with Amanda.
